JKSSB Releases Final Selection List Of Junior Engineers (JE) In Jal Shakti Department, Download Pdf Here

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the final selection list for the Junior Engineer (Civil) positions in the Jal Shakti Department.

This announcement comes after a meticulous process that began with the referral of 163 posts by the Jal Shakti Department to the JKSSB.

The recruitment, advertised through Notification No. 05 of 2021 dated September 22, 2021, specified the requirement of a 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university, along with other qualifications.

The selection process involved a written examination conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on December 5-6, 2022. The result and score-sheet were subsequently published on November 4, 2023.

Following this, candidates falling within the consideration zone underwent document verification in Jammu and Srinagar on January 1, 2024, and a supplementary round on January 4, 2024.

A Selection Committee, constituted on January 3, 2024, diligently scrutinized the candidates based on merit and eligibility, preparing a Provisional Selection List. This list was presented to the Board on January 12, 2024, and was later notified on January 14, 2024, inviting objections from candidates. Notably, 11 cases were temporarily withheld for various reasons.

After addressing representations and examining responses to a subsequent notice, the Board proceeded to the final step. The proposal for the Final Selection List was discussed and approved in the Board’s 256th meeting held on January 23, 2024.

The Final Selection List, annexed to the official notification, is now available to the public. However, it is subject to the outcome of any pending court adjudication and potential inquiries into individual cases.

Formal recommendations will be forwarded to the concerned Indenting Department, while candidates with withheld recommendations must submit necessary documents within one month.

It is crucial to note that the selection is based on self-declaration and certificates submitted by the candidates.

Any discovery of false information or the use of fake documents may result in the cancellation of the selection at any stage.
